No Updates, No Joy, No Life.
I’ve been scrambling around trying to get my bills paid for the last month or so… Doing bullshit tech work, and just hating life more than normally.
I just had a super professional business meeting at … Wait for it.. Dunkin’ Donuts… Some tech recruiter wanted to meet me before sending me to an interview at a local hospital. I was supposed to interview at the hospital at 2pm, so I went to DD’s at 1 to meet this bitch, and she didn’t show up until 1:45, and when she got there, she said the guy from the hospital wants to do it monday or tuesday… Fuck you.
I’ve been doing contract work for a well known computer company that rhymes with HELL. It’s super easy, but very sporatic… If it was 2 installs a day for the rest of my life I could make alot of money, and would do it forever, since it’s the dumbest/easiest job ever. It’s upgrading laptops for local sales managers of a national perfume/lotion/crap company that rhymes with “Hey Mon”. Basically I go to a house or business that these fat old ladies are at, and I unpack a laptop and printer… Then I follow this checklist that I don’t even have to look at anymore, do a bunch of super technical things like copy files and log into a VPN, and then pack up the old laptops and printer and call a shipping service to pick it up. $80 per install ($20 an hour, 4 hour minimum)… My longest took 1 hour 45 minutes. I average 1 hour. Sure some of them are 30-40 miles away… but fuck, that shit is simple. I don’t have any more scheduled though… so who knows.
Blah blah… Anyway, I’m going to tape a podcast this weekend.. I also started working on a one man musical project… I may have a song ready in a week or so. I’m having a tough time with the drums..
